"Me appointment was scheduled between 10 and 12. We were notified the tech would be arriving closer to noon. After that, we heard nothing more until I called the company at 2:00 pm to say I was not willing to wait any longer, and wanted to reschedule for a first appointment on another day. Then I was told the technician was 10 minutes away, so I consented to him coming. He did not apologize for running late, and there was no quickness to perform the work. After inspecting the two furnaces, it took a long time for him to complete the form. Then when I questioned the insulation score, he went back into each attic to reassess and then changed the score. I believe he left at 4:00."

"Levy and Son in Dallas, Texas owned by SE Holdco, LLC parent company of Service Experts, which Enercare, Inc. acquired in 2016. Do Not Use Them!! Why? Keep Reading Keep in mind we have used them several times over the years, No More! We initially had Levy and Sons Service Experts of Dallas, Texas to come out and repair a water leak under our pier and beam house. They also then fix the water line to the refrigerator off the hot line to cold and run the A/C condensation line that was dripping under the house out the house through the brick outside. Randy did a great job with all of these repairs. Since they were here, I asked about out gas line setup on the exterior of the house. Randy agreed with me the best plan would be to replace the main gas line that runs from the meter in the ally to the side of the house where the gas line enters the home. At the initial visit he tested the gas line and it held pressure, no leaks. The Problems. Initially I was told it would take 1 to 2 days to complete. They started the gas line job on Monday Sept 16th. Monday & Tuesday (2 days) it took the excavation subcontractors to dig the trench. Wednesday the plumbers installed the new line. Then on Thursday, day 4, the plumber thought they were all complete and had the City of Garland Inspector out to verify that all the gas lines are holding with a pressure test. The City Inspector approves the inspection. I then get home that afternoon and the plumber assistant is wanting on me so he can relight the water heater. We both walk into the house and there is a strong smell of gas throughout the home. My question how did it pass the city inspection? The plumber looks around testing for leaks and finds one at the gas compression tee fitting they installed under the house. Sets up for another pressure test and there is a noticeable drop in pressure on the gauge. He works all evening with no luck of finding the leaks. He tells me they can meet me the next day, Friday, day 5, at 10:30am to work finding the leak. I get home to let them in from leaving work and no one is here as they said they would be. I call the main number and ask for the Supervisor named Alex. It is a big run around to be able to reach anyone in the company, they have purposefully set it up this way. They gave me a lot of excuses but not answers. There was a family emergency with the plumber, so he could not come I was told, BUT this was not communicated to me. Alex was no help what so ever on the phone, and he would not even give me his supervisor to talk to, saying it was only him, knowing that everyone has a boss. Just send out another plumber, as told him as they are not a mom and shop! Obviously, he is trying to coverup all the issues we are having to his supervisors. They finally send a different plumber, Alfredo and two assistants, around 3pm Friday to find the gas leaks, of which he found multiple and repaired including the gas lines that they had just installed. He did a great job working to get all the leaks corrected. Now on Saturday I check my sprinkler system to make sure nothing was damaged, only 2 of the 8 zones works! Then on Monday 9/23 the Licensed Master Plumber finally calls after I asked for multiple times for him to come out, because of all the issues with the gas leaks. He is now going to have a Sprinkler company come out to repair the damage to the sprinkler system. Finally, on Thursday, day 10, the sprinkler company comes out to repair all the damages to our sprinkler systems, which took them almost two hours to repair. They, Levy and Son, were obviously in a rush to get the job done and move on to the next one. Keep in mind not even one time was it communicated to me when they would be out to work any of the days; I would call the main number and they would tell me oh yes, they are scheduled to come out today, but yet never informed the customer. Did not take the time to seal the new openings around the gas line where it enters the house through the brick, did not paint the new black pipe on the exterior of the house to prevent rusting. The smeared their hands all over the painted brick of the house where they were working, I had to repaint the side of the house, and they wiped their hands off on my cedar fence by the meter with gas pipe dope all over it and left a mess of parts in the hot water pan. Dripped PVC Primer and Glue on our nice solid Oak wood floors. Did not clean up our wood floors from all the dirt that was tracked into the house. A Huge Mess, No Care Given about the Customers Property, other than hurry up and get the job done. Once again Do Not Use Levy And Sons in Dallas, Texas area or any of its other its subsidiaries of Service Experts which are located through the country. Their website states we want your experience with Levy & Son in Dallas to be one of the Best Service Experiences youve ever had. Ever. This has been the WORST experience Ever!! "I recently posted a negative review for this service. Within hours of posting that review I received a phone call from Junior. He apologized for the experience I had and offered to come to my home to inspect the work that had been done by the previous technician that provided the negative experience. This updated review is a response to the follow-up visits I received from Junior and his team as resolution for the first visit. Junior and Terry came to my home and performed a complete inspection of my units. A few needed improvements were noted with the drain line and the manner in which some duct work had been installed. These were not work performed by the previous technician. Terry, under the guidance of Junior, replaced the drain trap from the main pan to improve the drainage to the main drain line. Junior stayed on site the whole time to inspect the work which I greatly appreciated. An additional visit was scheduled to deal with the ducts that needed improvement. This time Junior arrived with Bobby and Joe. They repositioned the ducts that were originally routed in such a way that they're positions were obstructive. Again, Junior stayed on site the whole time overseeing the work being done. I greatly appreciate all that Junior did to ensure my experience was satisfactory. Service Experts is a company dedicated to customer satisfaction and excellence and that was definitely apparent to me in the way this whole situation was handled. Thank you Junior and team."

"Danny walked in smelling like an ash tray first off. I was surprised to see him as we had requested and was told that Alex would be arriving to work on our zone control unit since he has had recent history with our system. Danny's attitude was beyond poor. His response to a question was "don't know ma'am, I'm just our here trying to get it done" . He first looked at my downstairs thermostat control panel and told me "there's nothing wrong with this unit". I had to show him that in fact, the zone control was off and that there was a warning message that appeared on the panel. But that was only one of my issues. The main reason for the call was that my upstairs unit was reading "system is waiting" and nothing was happening. He then walked upstairs where the temperature was at 78 and told me "this isn't too bad". Opened the attic stairs and came back saying that the control board had "acid and corrosion" all over it and it needed to be replaced. These units are less than 5 years old so I questioned it. He said he wrote down the model numbers and would call the office tomorrow to get one on order. Stated I owed him $75 for the trip... Never looked outside, never checked to see why the zone control wasn't working. Nothing. I have never seen a service call where the tech did not go at least take a peak outside. The guy acted as if he was impaired. Thankfully my husband came home and I told him to deal with Danny. My husband went upstairs and what Danny thought was acid and corrosion appeared to be glue that they used during the install. At that time, I was on the phone requesting Alex be sent once his schedule allowed. My husband told Danny he wasn't paying for his $75 service and told Danny he had to leave. Fast forward to 40 minutes when Alex showed up. Nothing is wrong with control board, it was in fact glue on that was visible not acid or corrosion but we do have a leak in the coil. Same make and model of coil that we replaced in our downstairs unit months back. Alex requested he come back tomorrow and bring a helper with him to test the lines. We scheduled for the next afternoon (today). If you have not had complaints yet about this guy Danny, just wait. I'm appreciate the work of service techs, I understand the demand they are in and appreciate knowledge and hard work. This guy had neither. His lax manner, lack of enthusiasm was very disappointing. If I would have accepted his word, we would have been in for a new control board and STILL had issues with our coil leaking. This is the reason service companies get a bad rap for ripping people off. - Train your techs - don't just hire a body - hire a talent. Danny obviously does not have the HVAC talent. I don't ever want him dispatched to my house again. I feel for the households that he's been dispatched to - past and future. Alex on the other hand shows passion, knowledge and expertise. He is a big reason why we are still a customer. My advice on Alex - give him a raise and promotion. Talent like his is noticed and can be recruited easily! I have never had a sales consultant come in with the service expert before and thought that was strange. I also got quoted for new equipment. I decided to get a second opinion. Without telling the other company the prices, they were a lot less expensive. After service experts left, I was stressed out because of the outrageous quotes: for example, I was quoted around $1000. for a uv light for the indoor unit. The other company quoted me $480. Also, the numbers were wrong for the outside unit. I was told in order to get a new outdoor unit, I had to also get a new indoor one and was quoted a middle range price around $15,000. I was told there was a payment plan, but it did not make sense that the payments would be taken over by the next person if we moved? The other company said I could just only get a new outdoor and did not need to replace the indoor one as well. I'm sure the sales consultant was giving me long-term good advice, but I felt like I was being scammed by a sales man. I appreciate their professionalism and they did a great job. I don't want to say anything bad about them or get anyone in trouble. I'm sure they are just doing their job the way they are supposed to. The second quote gave me more peace of mind."

They sent a plumber out that checked the joint under the sink but no clog - that charge was $345. Now I am being told I need to replace the whole line for $1300. I thought the reason we do maintenance is to avoid these types of issues. Very discouraging. I do not think I see the value in in the Service Agreement as situations issue like this should be avoided."
