Pumping your septic tank system should be performed every 3 to 5 years for continued safe and efficient performance.
Septic systems have lifespans ranging from 15 to more than 40 years. You can make sure yours lasts longer and remains in good shape by staying on top of routine preventative maintenance tasks like pumping.
A diagnostic fee, also known as a service call fee, is a typical charge levied by HVAC companies when a technician is sent out to your home to diagnose any and all problems with your furnace or air conditioner. A diagnostic fee covers the technician’s time, experience and travel expenses associated with assessing the problem. It’s in essence a service fee for the technician’s professional evaluation to find the cause of the malfunction.
It’s like a visit to the doctor’s office. They must examine you to learn more about what’s wrong before suggesting treatment. Similarly, your HVAC professional has to inspect your HVAC equipment to decide on the best repair or maintenance steps.
The standard depth of a septic tank is 18 inches. If your tank was installed deeper than 18 inches, an additional fee is charged for the extra work unearthing the tank. We also may have to adjust costs if the tank is under a deck or covered with concrete/landscaping.
To avoid problems like these, your septic tank should be pumped and inspected every three to five years. Solid sludge and debris will accumulate if this vital maintenance service is ignored. Water may need to be pumped in to break up the solid waste. This can then be removed and disposed of with our trucks, incurring additional charges.
There will be additional charges for any other services that are not related to the actual pumping of the septic tank. These items include but are not limited to the servicing of the line from the house to the tank, repairs that may be needed to the tank or repairs that may be needed to the field line system.
All pricing, including additional charges, is given up front to be agreed upon before work is performed.
