The NATE-Certification Advantage

March 20, 2018

Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning takes pride in sending NATE-Certified technicians into customers’ homes throughout North America every day. While this notation of being Nate-Certified decidedly sounds reaffirming, what does it truly mean?

NATE, an abbreviation for North American Technician Excellence, is the nation’s largest non-profit certification organization for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration technicians. NATE is the certification organization that was created by and has been acknowledged by the entire HVACR industry for close to 20 years. Although, not all technicians in the business have to be NATE-Certified. The certification is elective and technicians can service heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment without the accreditation.

It’s essential to Service Experts that our team is NATE-Certified to make sure we are sending the most qualified technicians into our customers’ homes. To make sure technicians meet these qualifications, the NATE-Certification exams verify real-world working knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems for technicians. The assessments are knowledge-based exams that test the technician’s understanding of these standards.

Due to the fact that Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning focuses largely on the HVAC side of NATE-Certification, our technicians earn their designations in these areas. However, NATE assessment candidates may obtain certification in multiple areas:

  • Air Conditioning
  • Air Distribution
  • Gas Heating
  • Oil Heating
  • Heat Pumps
  • Hydronic Gas (service only)
  • Hydronics Oil (service only)
  • Light Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
  • Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
  • Ground Source Heat Pump Loop Installer
  • Senior HVAC Efficiency Analyst

You can be confident that the technicians at Service Experts are highly effiecient and professional and will do the job the proper way from the beginning. Our company has the knowledge and skill set to not only fix your HVAC systems, but to take the ultimate care of your equipment.
